The Aquamarine Blue look is one of the most iconic shades in the Kerato World collection. Inspired by the transparency of tropical waters and the purity of clear sapphire, this shade has become a benchmark for patients seeking a luminous transformation and a gaze of absolute clarity.

Thanks to the FAKtP (Femtosecond Assisted Kerato-pigmentation) technique, the insertion of this pigment into the cornea creates an azure blue that captures natural light in an exceptional way.

The aesthetics of Aquamarine Blue

Aquamarine Blue is not a flat or opaque blue. Its formulation has been studied to interact with ambient light, offering reflections that vary from sky blue to light cyan depending on exposure.

A refreshing visual result

Unlike colored contact lenses which can sometimes give a “frozen” look, the Aquamarine Blue pigment retains a certain depth. The color diffuses into the corneal stroma, creating a crystalline veil that covers the original color of the iris without completely stifling it. The result is a “wide-open” gaze, often associated with youth and vitality.

Maximum brightness

This shade is particularly recommended for people whose face has cool or neutral tones. It creates a striking contrast with tanned or matte complexions, while bringing an ethereal softness to very fair skin.

Certified biocompatible pigments

At Kerato World, beauty is never without safety. To achieve this characteristic blue, we use specifically biocompatible pigments in the Aquamarine shade.

Biocompatibility

The Aquamarine pigment is a certified medical device. Its composition is free of toxic heavy metals and has been tested to ensure total safety once implanted in the cornea.

  • Stability over time: One of the major fears of patients is seeing their blue turn grey or green. The formulation of this pigment ensures chromatic stability against UV rays.
  • Biological inertia: The pigment remains confined in the annular micro-tunnel created by the Femtosecond Laser, avoiding any intraocular migration.

For Aquamarine Blue, Dr. Hojabr’s expertise is essential. The density of the pigment insertion can be adjusted:

  1. Light density: For a translucent blue, allowing the structure of the original iris to show through.
  2. Sustained density: For an intense and assertive blue, ideal for covering very dark irises (dark brown or black).

Choosing a color is a personal decision, but the morphological analysis performed at Kerato World helps to confirm this choice.

Aquamarine Blue has excellent covering power. It is particularly effective for transforming dark brown eyes into a vibrant blue. On initially light eyes (grey or green), it saturates the color to give it a much more bluish and crystalline orientation.

  • Hair: This shade particularly enhances blondes (cool or platinum) and creates an “electric” contrast with dark or black hair.
  • Complexion: Skin with pink or bluish undertones are the natural partners of Aquamarine. However, on golden skin, it creates a permanent “post-holiday” effect.

Before any intervention, we perform a digital simulation. For Aquamarine Blue, this step is crucial because it allows the patient to visualize the intensity of the blue on their own face. Dr. Hojabr uses colorimetry tools to project the final result, taking into account pupillary dilation and natural light.

The Femtosecond Laser prepares the area by creating the necessary circular space. Once the tunnel is ready, the Aquamarine pigment is inserted. The procedure is quick (about 45 minutes) and painless. As soon as you leave the clinic, the new color is visible, although it will take on its final brilliance after a few days, once the slight post-operative inflammation has dissipated.

Can the blue look too artificial?

No, because the FAKtP technique respects the pupillary zone. Your natural iris remains functional and visible in the center, which gives life and movement to the gaze, unlike lenses that hide the entire eye.

Is Aquamarine Blue reversible?

Keratopigmentation is considered permanent. However, the technique allows for modulation. If, after several years, you wish to darken your blue, it is possible to add a darker shade (such as Queen Blue) to modify the reflection.

Choosing Aquamarine Blue at Kerato World means opting for clarity and boldness, while benefiting from the safety of a proven medical protocol. It is the color for those who want their eyes to be their most beautiful accessory—a unique and luminous visual signature.
